The Experience
We'll begin with a quick phone consultation to answer your questions, learn more about your vision, and help you choose the perfect date for your experience.
To reserve your session, we'll collect the session fee, which includes professional hair and makeup artistry, a fully guided photoshoot tailored to you, and your same-day image reveal and ordering appointment.
Once you're booked, we'll guide you through every detail—from outfit inspiration to preparing for your session—so you can walk in feeling confident and excited.
Before
We'll begin with professional hair and makeup artistry tailored to your style—whether you love a natural look or full glam with lashes.
Then it's time for the fun part! We'll turn on your favorite music, and we'll guide you through every pose from head to toe. No experience is necessary, and you definitely don't need to practice in front of the mirror. Just relax, trust us, and enjoy the experience.
During
You'll view your images during your same-day reveal appointment and select your favorite photographs and artwork to preserve your memories.
Your handcrafted products are typically ready within 4–6 weeks. If you need your images sooner, rush editing may be available upon request.

I've never done anything like this before. What if I'm nervous?
You're not alone! Over 99% of our clients have never done a professional photoshoot before. We guide you through every pose and expression, so no experience is necessary.
Where is the studio located?
Our private commercial studio is located in Concord, California, serving women throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. We are not a home-based studio. Our all-female team provides a safe, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where you can fully relax and enjoy your experience.
Do clients travel for their session?
Absolutely! While many of our clients come from throughout the Bay Area, we've also photographed women who have traveled from Hawaii, Southern California, Nevada, and even the East Coast for their Fem Boudoir experience.
Many clients tell us they chose Fem Boudoir because they wanted an all-female team, a private luxury experience, and a studio that specializes exclusively in boudoir photography.
I'm not confident in my body. Can you still make me look good?
Absolutely. We photograph women of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Our posing, lighting, and guidance are designed to flatter every body type. You do not need to lose weight, tone up, or change anything about yourself before your session.
How long does the experience take?
Your experience typically lasts 2–3 hours and includes professional hair & makeup, a fully guided photoshoot, and your same-day image reveal appointment.
How many outfits can I bring?
Most clients bring 2–3 outfits. We'll help you choose the best options to create a variety of beautiful images.
When will I get to see my photos?
The same day! Right after your session, you'll view your images and choose your favorites during your reveal appointment.
Will you retouch my images?
Yes! Every purchased image includes professional retouching at no additional charge. We believe natural, timeless retouching looks best, so our goal is never to change how you look, but simply enhance your images. We can remove temporary blemishes, bruises, or distractions while preserving the features that make you uniquely you. If there's anything you'd like adjusted—or anything you'd prefer we leave alone—just let us know.
Will my images be shared online?
Never without your permission. Your privacy is extremely important to us, and we only share images when clients provide written consent.
How much does a boudoir photoshoot cost?
There is a session fee to reserve your date, which includes professional hair & makeup, a fully guided photoshoot, and a customized luxury experience designed around you.
Image collections and artwork are purchased separately during your same-day reveal appointment. Most clients invest between $2,999 and $6,500 on albums, wall art, and digital images they fall in love with. Individual artwork pieces begin at $550.
We also offer pre-session payment plans and financing options to help make your dream collection more accessible.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We offer pre-session payment plans as well as Affirm financing, allowing many clients to spread their investment into manageable monthly payments.
Why do clients set up a payment plan before their session?
Many clients are surprised by how much they love their images. Pre-planning allows you to spread out your investment ahead of time so you can focus on choosing your favorite images during your reveal instead of worrying about the investment.
What do most clients choose?
Most of our clients choose one of our Art Collections, which include a handcrafted luxury album and additional artwork depending on the collection selected. Many clients love having a beautiful album to preserve their images while also taking home digital images or wall art to enjoy every day.
Our collections are designed to offer the best value and are the most popular way for clients to enjoy their images.
What happens to the images I don't purchase?
After your reveal appointment, any images not purchased are permanently removed from our system and cannot be recovered later. We encourage clients to plan ahead so they don't have to leave behind images they love.
